World's Fastest 'Cuda to Steal the Show at the 36th Annual Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale.


SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A 1971 Plymouth Barracuda The Plymouth Barracuda, or 'Cuda (after 1970), is a two-door coupe/convertible muscle car that was manufactured by the Plymouth division of the Chrysler Corporation from 1964 through 1974. , the fastest Hemi 'Cuda in the world, will be sold at No Reserve during the 36th Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Event from Jan. 13-21, 2007, in Scottsdale, Ariz. Johnson's 'Cuda also possesses modern handling at high speeds while sitting on 20" rear and 19" front Colorado Custom wheels while Red Devil ceramic-coated titanium brakes bring it to a rest. One-off lights, grill and front and rear bumpers add contemporary accents to the 'Cuda's classic style.

The interior includes numerous one-off features including silver and charcoal-faced gauges with brushed aluminum bezels. The graphite leather surface instills a feeling of luxury during the high-speed experience.

Bob Johnson has been buying and selling cars at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Events for nearly 15 years. Alan Johnson, no relation to Bob Johnson, and his team at Johnson's Hot Rod Shop spent approximately 15,000 hours building the 'Cuda.
