Working with MTMC to meet America's newest challenge.


Lt. Cmdr. Jim Flowers and Cmdr. Dolores Dolores (or Delores) was a common given name (until the 1960s in the USA); it is cognate with the English word "dolorous" (meaning sorrowful) and equivalent in meaning.  Smith--two officers from the Naval Reserve A Naval Reserve is the reserve body of a nation's Navy, typically called-upon in times of conflict. Naval Reserves include;
  • Royal Australian Naval Reserve
  • Royal Naval Reserve (United Kingdom)
  • United States Navy Reserve
 Military Transportation Management Command 202, will soon complete one year of active duty to augment the staff of MTMC's Operations Center The facility or location on an installation, base, or facility used by the commander to command, control, and coordinate all crisis activities. See also base defense operations center; command center.  at Fort Eustis, Va.

"The hectic pace in the Operations Center made the time go by fast," said Flowers, a Chapel Hill, N.C. resident.

"I'm thrilled they've had the opportunity to support the War on Terrorism Terrorist acts and the threat of Terrorism have occupied the various law enforcement agencies in the U.S. government for many years. The Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996, as amended by the usa patriot act  full time," said Cmdr. Steve Gale, Commanding Officer of NR MTMC 202, which is part of the Norfolk and Marine Corps Reserve Center in Richmond, Va.

According to Lori Starke, the Director of MTMC Operations Center's Combatant Command Support, both Navy officers have been invaluable to the MTMC team during an especially critical period.

"We couldn't have handled the demands as well as we did without them," said Starke.

"Being an integral part of another branch of our uniformed services has truly broadened our experience," said Smith.
