Workgroup Technology Announces CMS Integrator for Myriad.

LEXINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 1998--

WTC's Integration With Industry-Leading Design Solutions,

Such As Myriad, Provides Users With The Most Advanced Product

Development Tools To Shorten Time-To-Market and Lower Costs

Further expanding their CMS line of pragmatic product data management (PDM) solutions, WTC (Workgroup Technology Corporation) (NASDAQ:WKGP) announced today CMS Integrator for Myriad(R). Through this tight and seamless integration with Myriad, customers using WTC PDM solutions can now easily access Informative Graphics Corporation's Myriad(R) and its advanced viewing, markup and print-with-watermark capabilities. This new product shortens time-to-market and lowers costs by dramatically improving the ability of distributed product teams to exchange, review and revise product information.

CMS Integrator for Myriad enables a design team using the WTC CMS solution to easily access Myriad to view, redline, modify and share documents, drawings and models with other members of the design team. With CMS Integrator for Myriad, team members that review the product information can electronically propose changes, attach comments and graphical markup, and forward it to the next user to review, revise or approve. By reducing the time and effort required for collaboration on new ideas, product team members can respond faster to competitive challenges and improve the quality and the throughput of the entire product team.

"Third-party integrations with industry-leading design tools, such as Myriad, will continue to provide our users with the most comprehensive, pragmatic and easy-to-deploy PDM solution for their unique environments," said John McDonough, WTC President and CEO. "CMS Integrator for Myriad is one of many CMS integrations that deliver high value to the product teams. WTC will continue to develop and deliver more of these high-quality, high-benefit integrations because they are a key factor in the measurable success of our customers."

CMS Integrator for Myriad is a 100 percent Java CMS client and provides the product team with a single, consistent, web-enabled interface for accessing all product information. In the most common configuration, CMS Integrator for Myriad will be implemented with WTC WebLink(tm), the WTC toolkit for the development of CMS Web applications. WTC WebLink users can easily create site specific applications such as the Engineering Change or Drawing Approval process. These applications typically include CMS search and retrieval of documents and drawings, workflow, forms generation and CMS Integrator for Myriad.

"We are excited to integrate Myriad with WTC's production-proven product data management solution," said Gary Heath, President of Informative Graphics Corp. "Our tight and transparent integration with the WTC CMS solution will provide customers with a truly comprehensive PDM solution to meet their unique product development needs and environments."
