Workforce Management; Human Capital Strategic Plan: the big picture.The Department of Defense acquisition, technology and logistics logistics In military science, all the activities of armed-force units in support of combat units, including transport, supply, communications, and medical aid. The term, first used by Henri Jomini, Alfred Thayer Mahan, and others, was adopted by the U.S. community supports and safeguards our nation's warfighters. It is essential that AT & L continues to champion a knowledge-based workforce capable of delivering equipment and services to warfighters in need. To achieve this, AT & L has developed an overarching o·ver·arch·ing adj. 1. Forming an arch overhead or above: overarching branches. 2. Extending over or throughout: "I am not sure whether the missing ingredient . . . The plan provides components and functional advisors with the necessary strategies for strengthening the DoD communities. The procurement department within an organization manages all the major purchases. and Acquisition Policy (DPAP DPAP Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy ) serves as functionaladvisor for the Contracting, Purchasing, and Industrial/Contract Property Management career fields. Working hand-in-hand with DoD's senior procurement executives, DPAP will develop a human capital plan for the contracting community. The objective of this initiative is to draw upon the strengths of the community and establish an execution strategy for continued workforce success.
