Work Colleagues Win Lottery's CASH 5 Jackpot.

MIDDLETOWN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 28, 2001

A group of 18 employees of the Phillip Morris Management Corporation won the jackpot in the Pennsylvania Lottery's CASH 5 game on August 9, 2001.

Their winning ticket matched all five winning numbers in the drawing and the group members will equally share the CASH 5 jackpot that had a total value of $260,073.50. The winning numbers in the August 9, 2001, CASH 5 drawing were 8, 13, 23, 25, 32.

The "Phillip Morris Management Corporation" group will receive their winnings check worth $260,073.50 less appropriate federal withholding, from the Pennsylvania Lottery The Pennsylvania Lottery is the state lottery of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It was created by the Pennsylvania Legislature on August 26, 1971 and that October, Henry Kaplan was appointed as its first Executive Director. The Lottery premiered on March 7, 1972.  on Monday, October 1, 2001, at 11:30 a.m., during a formal presentation at the Pantry Quick located at 2 Lee Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, where the ticket was purchased.

The Lottery's Director of Public Relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  Sally Danyluk, Area II Manager Tom Blaskiewicz and District Lottery Representative Mike Babuska will present the group members their check.

The 18 employees, all from Luzerne County, have been playing the Lottery together for 15 years. Group member David Reese David Reese may refer to:

Burns of Swoyersville, Marianne Bigam of Wilkes-Barre, Terry Turinski of Wilkes-Barre, Debra Lamoreaux of Plymouth, Frank Peterson Frank Peterson is a German music producer known for his work with Enigma and artists such as Sarah Brightman, Gregorian and Princessa.

Peterson was born on December 20, 1963, in Geesthacht, a suburb of Hamburg.

The group is made up of managers, secretaries and other support staff. As for their winnings, the members have various plans. Some of the members have indicated they will put the money toward trips, others vehicles or property.

To play CASH 5, players select five numbers from 1 to 39. Players must match all five winning numbers drawn to win the top jackpot prize. CASH 5 jackpots start at $100,000 and continue to roll until someone wins. The Pennsylvania Lottery also pays players for matching four, three and two-of-five winning CASH 5 numbers.
