Woolworths already had a comprehensive commerce platform from ATG. With the added ATG Commerce Assist application, the company is further unifying its web and call center environments, enabling contact center agents to create and manage online orders for customers. ATG Outreach will help Woolworths gain a richer understanding of customers through their web interactions, preferences and behaviors, and this insight as a basis to create more relevant, compelling, and personalized e-mail and proactive customer service campaigns.

Woolworths aims to offer its customers value-for-money on an extended range of products. In today's competitive environment, Woolworths also wanted to extend the ways it reaches out to customers. In making its operations truly multi-channel, the retailer has turned to ATG to better its ecommerce site and increase the number of touch points consumers have with the company.

"We are constantly looking to improve our service and offerings to customers and provide them with relevant and rich experiences," said Andrew Harber, head of strategy and channel systems at Woolworths. "We chose ATG in order to improve our understanding of customers' behavior and increase the number of ways customers can reach out to us. The company has been using ATG Commerce to power its online site. ATG Commerce sets the industry standard for serious e-commerce solutions, providing a multi-channel, multi-touch, guided experience throughout the entire marketing, sales and customer care lifecycle. Following a de-merger, Woolworths has moved into an Enterprise-wide Licensing Agreement, adding ATG Outreach and Commerce Assist to the mix to drive forward its multi-channel campaign.
