In its decision to support Cal Wood, the City of Ventura says that last May the Ventura County Superior Court approved a stipulated agreement allowing for the operation of Cal Wood at its current site until the company could acquire all the permits to operate at an alternative location.

If the company is unable to receive the extension until it can receive all its operating permits, the city of Ventura will need to find an alternative site to handle its green waste, likely increasing its costs.
