Many Valley professionals and residents know of Arlene Alpert as a dedicated community volunteer who serves on many philanthropic and community boards. She has been the recipient of many awards and recognitions. Most recently she was the recipient of the 2004 'Pioneer Woman' Award from Los Angeles City Council The Los Angeles City Council is the governing body of the City of Los Angeles, California, United States. .

Alpert has been the Membership Director of the Encino Chamber of Commerce since 2004. Alpert was formerly a schoolteacher for the first and second grade at Kirk of the Valley in Reseda. She has been extremely active in her community as the founding member of the Board of Directors for Kid's Safe, providing community programs to inform parents how to protect their children.

Kim Cartaino started at the Warner Center Marriott Hotel in 1991 as a Catering Manager and since then has had an illustrious career at the hotel. She has been Director of Catering Sales, Director of Group Sales and Director of Hotel Sales.

Contributing directly to the Marriott's status as the most successful hotel in its class in 2000, Cartaino was promoted last year to Assistant General Manager. Cartaino, as the former Director of Hotel Sales, was able to generate $24 million in annual revenues for the 463-room hotel. She was also awarded the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts' Center Catering Contract in 2001, 1997, and 1994.

Now, from its 7000 square foot facility in the Warner Center, EdNet works with private industry in delivering corporate technology training. EdNet was recently awarded a contract with Northrop Grunman to train people from the Egyptian military for one year.
