Women In Defense activities draw national attention.


Several related events in recent months brought together Women In Defense members with distinguished professionals. At the organization's annual meeting, the 2005-2006 board of directors was installed. The new directors are: President Jane Walter, of Booz Allen Hamilton Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., referred to as Booz Allen is one of the oldest strategy consulting firms in the world.[1] The firm formerly had two consulting divisions: WCB (Worldwide Commercial Business, also known as “The Commercial Side”) and WTB ; Vice President Susan Ebner, of Buchanan Ingersoll; Treasurer Margaret Divirgilio, of Concurrent Technologies Corp.; Secretary Kelli Short-Tomasulo, of PMA PMA (papillary-marginal-attached),
n a system of epidemiologic scoring of periodontal disease devised by Schour and Massler in which the symbols denote the areas involved in gingival inflammation.

 founders and past presidents joined members and other dignitaries for a special dinner celebrating the organization's 20th anniversary.

Retired Army Lt. Gen. Lawrence Skibbie and retired Air Force Maj. Gen. James E. McInerney Jr. received the President's Award for their contributions in fostering WID's growth. Skibbie is NDIA'S former president, and McInerney is that association's vice president for membership and chapters.

Also this fall, WID's national and chapter leaders met for their third annual Leaders Conference to share ideas and experiences and to look at ways to enhance the membership experience.

WID'S 2005 National Fall Conference, featuring the theme "Honoring Our Past, Shaping Our Future," drew WID members and others from all parts of the nation. The conference was chaired Carole Sue Coupland. Information from the conference appears on the WID website, http://wid.ndia.org.
