Under the charter granted (1670) to the company by Charles II, the region comprised the drainage basin of Hudson Bay. The area embraced what is today the provinces of Ontario and Quebec N of the Laurentians and W of Labrador; all of Manitoba; most of Saskatchewan; the southern half of Alberta; the eastern part of Nunavut, has been appointed editor for the Evangelical Lutheran Women (ELW ELW - Effective Line Width ELW - Einsatzleitwagen (German firefighters' on-scene coordination car) ELW - Electronic Warfare (Mission Area) ELW - Extremely Low Water), which produces a magazine and other resources. Ms. Pate will edit Esprit ESPRIT - European Strategic Programme for Research in Information Technology, a quarterly magazine published since 1986, whose goal is to "inspire, challenge, and educate Christian women." In an e-mail, Ms. Pate also said she would like "to see Anglican women given access" to the magazine. "Full communion (between the Anglican and Lutheran churches) provides an entryway into a new conversation about this and other places where women from the two churches might meet," she said.
