Wombat Consulting, Inc., a leading producer of next-generation market data infrastructure, today announced the appointment of Kieran Northime as business development manager, Europe, a new position created in response to the company's increased international customer base and growing demand for its feed handler software for direct exchange feeds.

Reporting to Danny Moore, global head of sales, marketing and development, Northime is responsible for leading Wombat's sales, customer support and development efforts throughout Europe and assisting in establishing a development and support center in the U.K. as Wombat's European base of operations.

Northime joins Wombat from Fexco in Killorglin, Ireland where he served as senior engineer. Previously, he was a senior consultant in Sydney, Australia from 1999 to 2003 for MISYS, leading development projects at Shinhan Bank, Treasury Corporation of Victoria, St. George's Bank, Bank Indonesia and Thai Farmer's Bank. Based in Tokyo from 1997 to 1999, he served as a managing consultant for MKI Risk (formerly CATS), where he managed the Tokyo office, pre-sales for Asia-Pacific and the Asia-Pacific consulting group. Before that, he held senior software development positions at Paribas Capital Markets, Lehman Brothers and Fusion Systems, all in Tokyo. He earned his Bachelors of electronic engineering from the University of Limerick, Limerick, Ireland.
