Wolters Kluwer continues acquisition binge--Bureau of Business Practice this time.


Following the recent purchases of Telecommunications Report International and State Tax Institute (NL/NL 5/99), Wolters Kluwer has entered into an agreement (subject to regulatory review) to acquire leading professional publisher Bureau of Business Practice, an operating unit operating unit

A type of operating company that engages in transactions with outsiders and that is owned by another business. For example, in 1995 the stockholders of Capital Cities/ABC approved a $19 billion merger with the Walt Disney Company, whereupon
 of Pearson plc. Purchase price is reported to be $16 million, the same as BBP's 1998 sales level.
