(2) (Apple Display Connector) A peripheral connector from Apple that combines digital video display, USB and power in one cable. designed for recordable media applications including recordable DVD players, personal video recorders, set-top boxes and studio audio processing equipment. The WM8782, one of the first ADCs on the market to interface with large voltage analogue input signals, offers recording system designers the opportunity to reduce overall system cost by minimizing the number of external components. The hardware controlled WM8782 also reduces software development effort and provides larger range ADC sampling frequency, up to 192kHz, for greater range of analogue input signals. Stereo line level inputs in the WM8782, along with two control input pins, allow operation of the audio interface in three industry standard modes. An internal op-amp is integrated on the front end of the chip to accommodate analogue input signals greater than 1V rms. The device also has a high pass filter to remove residual DC offsets. WM8782 features 2Vrms capability, Master/Mode operation and 192kHz sampling frequency to support Master or Slave mode clocking schemes.
