, the Community College of Baltimore County The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) is an accredited community college located in Baltimore County, Maryland in the United States with three main campuses and two extension centers.  is stepping up efforts to attract and retain students in its Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program. Funding from Verizon will help provide educational opportunities to low-income students and promote full-time enrollment and degree attainment in the STEM disciplines. The college will award 20 $1,000 STEM scholarships to help cover tuition and fees. Eligible students must be enrolled full-time, have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher, be residents of the city of Baltimore or Baltimore County and have earned 24 or more credits overall and nine credits of STEM coursework coursework
