The roadmap is meant to be a blueprint blueprint, white-on-blue photographic print, commonly of a working drawing used during building or manufacturing. It will be used to organize local metalcasters' needs to better position the region for available research and development funding. Pradeep Rohatgi, Univ. of WisconsinMilwaukee, is directing the project work. The project will include: * an assessment of Wisconsin foundries to identify business and technology issues; * a roadmap and action plan created through a collaborative process, tailoring the National Industry Roadmap to fit Wisconsin's needs and priorities; * implementation of priorities; * an effort to build industry awareness and accessibility of technical and financial resources available through OIT and state organizations; * ongoing mechanisms to foster innovation, technology transfer, networking and collaborative building.
