Wisconsin Metalcasting Roadmap in the Works.

), the Wisconsin Energy Bureau and Wisconsin Focus on Energy are co-funding a Wisconsin Metalcasting Roadmap A roadmap may refer to:
  • A map of roads, and possibly other features, to aid in navigation
  • A plan, e.g.
  • Road map for peace, to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

The roadmap is meant to be a blueprint blueprint, white-on-blue photographic print, commonly of a working drawing used during building or manufacturing. The plan is first drawn to scale on a special paper or tracing cloth through which light can penetrate.  of technology milestones needed to achieve the goals of the industry through 2020. It will be used to organize local metalcasters' needs to better position the region for available research and development funding. Pradeep Rohatgi, Univ. of WisconsinMilwaukee, is directing the project work.

The project will include:

* an assessment of Wisconsin foundries to identify business and technology issues;

* a roadmap and action plan created through a collaborative process, tailoring the National Industry Roadmap to fit Wisconsin's needs and priorities;

* implementation of priorities;

* an effort to build industry awareness and accessibility of technical and financial resources available through OIT and state organizations;

* ongoing mechanisms to foster innovation, technology transfer, networking and collaborative building.

To participate in a roundtable review of the first draft of the roadmap, which will be held May 18, contact ECW Project Manager Doug Presny at 608/238-8276, ext. 147.

In addition, Wisconsin metalcasters may join the Metalcasting Roadmap Steering The process whereby builders, brokers, and rental property managers induce purchasers or lessees of real property to buy land or rent premises in neighborhoods composed of persons of the same race.  Team by contacting Presny. A number of metalcasters will be invited to participate in interviews to assess their needs and priorities.
