Wipro Expands German Presence with New Office in Munich; Enhancing Wipro's Philosophy of Being a Global Company with a Local Face.

MUNICH, Germany -- Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT) today announced the opening of its new office in Munich. The office will be staffed by local language consultants and, driven by business growth, will expand into a local language delivery and development centre. The Munich office becomes Wipro's third major centre to be located in Germany, after Kiel and Dusseldorf, and marks the next phase of the company's plans for investment in expanding its German infrastructure.

Europe represents 30% of Wipro's global IT services revenues and is growing more than 50% year-on-year, with Germany being one of the top potential growth markets. Some of Wipro's key customers in Europe are Aviva, Prudential, Thames Water, Skandia, Loyalty Gate, Exel and TUI.

The opening of the Munich centre represents a significant step forward in Wipro's vision of becoming a truly global company with local operations in the countries it services its customers in. Apart from Germany, Wipro has development centres in the USA, UK, Finland, Sweden, Japan and China, with additional centres planned in Eastern Europe and the Philippines.
