Wipro Enables Migration to Windows Vista.

Wipro is first to join Microsoft's Application Compatibility Factory for Windows Vista 

BANGALORE, India -- Wipro Technologies, the Global IT services business of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT), today announced that Wipro is the first organization to join the Application Compatibility Factory (ACF). As an ACF partner, Wipro will enable enterprise customers worldwide to migrate their applications from their existing platforms to the Windows Vista operating system from Microsoft Corp.

Wipro's ACF solution is industry ready and has proven itself through migrations to Microsoft Windows NT and Windows XP. Wipro is the first global IT services provider who is ready to provide customers with Application Compatibility Factory services for migration of their existing applications to Windows Vista. Wipro will also help customers assess and certify their compliance to Windows Vista. The primary services offered by ACF will be Application migration, Packaging and deployment services for Windows Vista. The ACF solution will also cater to customers who are not certified for Windows Vista and remediation for such customers will be part of ACF. Wipro's Enterprise Software Packaging Service will provide packaging solutions for software applications based on Microsoft Software Installer (MSI) format and ITIL framework.

This specialized infrastructure is then used to roll-out the compatible applications to the next-generation Windows operating system.
