Wipro, Nortel Celebrate 15-Year Offshore Partnership; Milestone Marks One of India's First High-End Global Outsourcing Services Deals.

BANGALORE, India -- Nortel (NYSE: NT) (TSX: NT) and Wipro Technologies, the global IT services arm of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT), today celebrates 15 successful years of collaboration in developing and supporting next generation products for service provider and enterprise customers worldwide.

This marks the establishment, in 1991, of one of the first offshore development centers in India dedicated to telecommunications R&D. Wipro currently provides end-to-end design, system integration, consulting, software release management and support for Nortel's carrier and enterprise product lines, as well as a multi-site, geographically dispersed engineering services delivery model.
