Winternals, a leading provider of Microsoft systems infrastructure availability and performance solutions, today announced that its products have won Windows Server See Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, Windows Home Server, Windows 2000 and Windows NT.  System Magazine's 2004 Readers' Choice Awards and W2Knews' Target Awards. Both awards were presented last week at Microsoft Tech-Ed 2004 in San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. Windows Server System Magazine readers voted ERD Commander 2003 the Best Disaster Recovery Tool, and voted FileRestore the Best File Recovery Tool in the publication's second annual Readers' Choice Awards. The awards will be announced in the July, 2004 issue of the magazine. Readers of W2Knews awarded ERD Commander 2003 the top Emergency Disk Management product for 2004.

Windows Server System Magazine, published by Fawcette Technical Publications, is circulated to 83,000 qualified IT professionals, whom the publication describes as technical experts. Voting for the Readers' Choice Awards was conducted via an e-mail survey to the publication's subscriber base.

W2Knews, published by Sunbelt Software Founded in 1984 Sunbelt Software is a software company based out of Clearwater, Florida and provider of enterprise system infrastructure software, including anti-spyware, security, anti-spam and system management tools. , is an online newsletter dedicated to Windows NT/2000/2003 systems administrators charged with keeping Windows networks running. Voting for the Target Awards was implemented via an online poll among the newsletter's 350,000 subscribers. Categories and finalists for the Target Awards were created by the W2Knews editorial staff to reflect real-world solutions.

ERD Commander 2003 boots a dead system into a Windows-like environment to diagnose and repair the damaged computer directly from the product CD. It bypasses the operating system operating system (OS)

It provides access to all deleted files on Windows systems -- across FAT, FAT32, and NTFS (NT File System) An optional file system for Windows NT, 2000 and XP operating systems. NTFS is the more advanced file system, compared to FAT32. It improves performance and is required in order to implement numerous security and administrative features in the OS.  volumes -- including files emptied from the Recycle Bin, deleted by application programs and remote processes, lost with removed directories, or deleted via the Command Prompt. FileRestore works without modifying the Windows environment, and leaves the Recycle Bin intact.

Both of these products are bundled in the Administrator's Pak, a suite of Winternals' most popular repair, recovery, and diagnostics tools, which also includes NTFSDOS Professional, Disk Commander, Remote Recover, Monitoring Tools, and TCPView Professional.
