Winstar supports NYSE network.


Winstar Communications recently announced that it has agreed to support the New York Stock Exchange New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)

World's largest marketplace for securities. The exchange began as an informal meeting of 24 men in 1792 on what is now Wall Street in New York City.

) as the only fixed wireless broadband service provider for the next-generation NYSE Common Access Point (NYSE CAP) Extranet network. Winstar will provide the NYSE and its customers with high-bandwidth connectivity, establishing a direct link to the NYSE's business services.

At the launch of the NYSE CAP program, Winstar will offer secure, fully-scalable broadband wireless connections between the NYSE's hosting facilities and the various NYSE customers. Eventually, Winstar will support additional network-based broadband service offerings, including frame relay, ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode See ATM.
