 World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for IT markets, today announced the winners of the Open Source Product Excellence Awards at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, held this week at the Moscone Center The Moscone Center is San Francisco, California's largest convention and exhibition complex. The complex consists of two main underground halls underneath Yerba Buena Gardens, Moscone North and Moscone South, as well the three-level Moscone West exhibition hall across 4th Street.  in San Francisco.

IDG World Expo presented the Open Source Product Excellence Awards in conjunction with the UniForum Association. The awards recognize Open Source product and service innovations offered by LinuxWorld exhibitors, which include some of the world's leading ISVs, OEMs, service providers and developers.

"The judges had a difficult time winnowing winnowing: see threshing.  the list of finalists down to one winner in each category," said UniForum Association President Alan Fedder. "As usual, many terrific products did not make the final cut, but nonetheless are outstanding products. They are all winners."
