Winners Announced for Rocky Mountain's 2001 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Rocky Mountain's top entrepreneurs were honored this evening at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(R) awards banquet.

Of the 23 companies named as finalists, eight received the prestigious title of "Entrepreneur Of The Year." The award recipients, by category, are:

The banquet, held at the Adam's Mark Adam's Mark is a chain of five upscale hotels in the United States. The chain was founded in the early 1970s by Fred Kummer and the chain is currently owned by HBE, Inc., which was also founded by Kummer.  Hotel in Denver, marks the end of an intensive search to identify and recognize Rocky Mountain's outstanding entrepreneurs. Now in its thirteenth year in the region, the program recognizes entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

The Rocky Mountain award recipients are now eligible to participate in the National Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program, which will culminate at a black-tie awards gala in Palm Springs, California Palm Springs is a famed Riverside County, California desert resort city, approximately 110 miles (177 km) east of Los Angeles and 140 miles (225 km) northeast of San Diego. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 42,807. , on November 17, 2001.
