Winick Realty heading Downtown.


Winick Realty Group has been named the exclusive retail broker for The Downtown Club, an Art Deco art deco (ärt dĕkō`; är dākō`, ärt) or art moderne (är môdĕrn`, ärt)  landmarked building at 20 West St. that formerly served as the headquarters of the Downtown Athletic Club The Downtown Athletic Club was an athletic club in a 35-story building located at 19 West Street in Lower Manhattan, New York City, USA. It was founded in 1926. By 1927, it had purchased this site next to the Hudson River to construct its own building.  and the home of the mythic Heisman Trophy Heisman Trophy

Annual award given to the outstanding college gridiron football player in the U.S. The trophy was instituted in 1935 by New York City's Downtown Athletic Club and was officially named the following year for the club's first athletic director, the player-coach
.

A total of 9,000 s/f, 5,500 on the ground floor and 3,500 on the lower level, is available for lease by an upscale restaurant.

The space features high-ceilings and will be built ready for food preparation and service.

The rest of the building is being converted to a group of 283 luxury condominiums by The Moinian Group, the project's developer.
