LAT Transport represents a substantial improvement in streamlining MHS to DEC messaging systems."

"Today's announcements signify the importance of providing NetWare customers superb connectivity between their NetWare networks and DEC-host data and applications," said Eldon Greenwood, director, product management, Novell GroupWare Software that supports multiple users working on related tasks in local and remote networks. Also called "collaborative software," groupware is an evolving concept that is more than just multiuser software which allows access to the same data. . "We applaud Wingra's efforts to partner with Novell, providing customers first class, seamless enterprise-wide messaging services."

The Missive SMF-71 channel extends NetWare Global MHS V2.0's increased addressing capabilities to messaging users. "These enhancements make Missive unique in the industry in providing truly seamless messaging between Novell and DEC," added Wingra's Freeman.

"Since Missive's introduction, Wingra has been very active in its efforts to build e-mail interconnectivity between diverse mail systems, including NetWare's native messaging environment, MHS," said Greenwood. "Wingra's releases are an excellent example of key products addressing customer needs for integrated messaging solutions."

The Microsoft Mail for PC Networks conversion channel is a best-of-breed integration. The Missive Channel for Microsoft Mail will incorporate Microsoft Mail users into a heterogeneous messaging network via a direct connection to Missive.

Freeman said, "The Missive channel for Microsoft Mail retains the Microsoft Mail address book, so users continue to use their familiar email addressing method. Unlike other products, our channel will not require a separate FFAPI FFAPI File Format Application Programming Interface (Microsoft)  gateway post office or separate addressing tables."

Greg Lobdell, Group Product Manager of Microsoft's Business Systems Division asserted, "Wingra Technologies has a history of delivering integration products between LANs and legacy systems. We are excited Wingra has chosen Microsoft's API (Application Programming Interface) A language and message format used by an application program to communicate with the operating system or some other control program such as a database management system (DBMS) or communications protocol.  technology to provide seamless network links between Microsoft Mail and other products."
