Wine store has big plans for Union Square site.

Winick Realty Group represented Union Square Wines and Spirits in a new lease for approximately 6,700 s/f at 140 Fourth Avenue located at the Northwest Corner of 13th Street.

Union Square Wines and Spirits will take occupancy of the space in Spring 2006.

The space encompasses approximately 5,500 s/f on the ground floor and approximately l,200 s/f on the lower level.

Union Square Wines and Spirits was represented by Josh Gettler, director, while the sub landlord Virgin Worldwide was represented by Winick Realty Group's Josephine Canilao and Jeff Winick, CEO.

The building is owned by The Related Companies and Ohio Teachers Retirement Fund.

Union Square Wines and Spirits offers New York's most unique wine experience. The store features more than 4,000 selections including many timeless classics as well as hard-to-find handcrafted wines.

Union Square Wines and Spirits are currently located at 33 Union Square West.

Union Square Wines and Spirits plans on building a state of the art wine shop including a room for wine tastings. Their store now offers numerous weekly tastings, sommelier recommendations from New York City's finest restaurants, educational opportunities and a temperature-controlled wine room. People describe them as the "Wine Merchant for Wine Lovers."
