Wine seller becomes latest retailer to flock to Circle.


The leasing team of team of Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph A. Aquino, executive vice president, of Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Leasing and Sales Division, has been marketing the block front of retail stores located at the intersection of Broadway and Central Park South, directly across from the Shops at Columbus Circle The Shops at Columbus Circle is an urban shopping mall in the Time Warner Center in Manhattan, New York City — a complex of skyscrapers that was completed in 2003. It is located at Columbus Circle, next to the southwestern corner of Central Park.  and the soon-to-open Museum of Arts and Design.

They announced that Columbus Wine, a longtime wine merchant that has been in the neighborhood almost since the end of Prohibition, has found a new home at 1802 Broadway.

 and champagne selections from all over the world. Its new retail address is part of a multi-store complex of storefronts that are being restored to their postwar grandeur. Consolo and Aquino have been instrumental in securing prominent retailers for the complex, including Optique, LensCrafters' high-end sister store, which opened last year. Renowned restaurant San Domenico is also part of the lineup, and there is a 5,000 s/f store still available at the corner, where divisions starting at 1,050 s/f will be considered.

"We are thrilled to be playing a major role in enriching the retail landscape that links Times Square and the Upper West Side," said Consolo.

"This neighborhood has evolved into a mecca for shoppers and diners alike, and continues to welcome new additions."

Broadway Enterprises represented the tenant in the transaction.
