-- Winbond Microcontroller Series -- Winbond has created a suite of
8051-compatible, low voltage, in-system programmable and
Turbo-speed microcontrollers. On-chip multi-time-programmable
memory, masked ROM and ROM-less types are available. The versatile
W78/W77 product series is suited to a wide variety of
applications, including telecommunication equipment, POS
terminals, card readers, scanners, media players and more.
-- Winbond JPEG Video Controller -- The W9968 is a highly integrated
JPEG video controller for the digital camera market. The product
supports VGA resolution, USB interface and battery operation. It
is best suited for the Web Cam, dual-mode digital-still camera
(DSC), security camera and bar-code scanner markets.
-- Winbond SR3000 -- This product line consists of a speech
recognition engine with a complete acoustic model of either the
German or English language plus an extensive dictionary. The
acoustic model is comprised of the sound characteristics that make
up a language, taking into account dialects and genders. The
SR3000 allows the developer to choose unique vocabularies from the
dictionary or define new words through phonetic spelling. The
Company will also demonstrate the recently launched DS3000
Applications Development Kit (ADK). The ADK gives developers the
ability to add speech recognition functionality easily and quickly
into their next generation of "smart appliances."
-- Winbond SOC Controller W55FC200 -- Winbond offers a complete SOC
controller with Serial/Printer port protocol for Internet-Enabled
applications. Featuring built-in read/write timing and built-in
download protocol including system handshaking, clock
synchronization and error correction, the IC addresses a broad
range of consumer applications including some of the hottest
holiday gifts: Internet-enabled toys.
-- Winbond ISDN Controller -- The industry's first single-chip ISDN
S/T controller for terminal adapter (TA) applications, the W6694
complies with the ITU I.430 standard as well as USB 1.0/1.1
specifications. This new chip integrates S/T transceiver, USB
SIE/SIL, voltage regulator and a rate adaptation mechanism for up
to 128K Internet access. In addition, PCM port and B-channel
switching are built-in for voice applications. The W6694 IC also
includes a GCI bus and general purpose I/Os for expansion and
control devices. With this chip, OEM is enabled to design a very
compact, USB bus-powered terminal adapter for both desktop and
notebook PCs.
-- Winbond ChipCorder ISD5116 -- The ISD5116 is Winbond's most
advanced ChipCorder IC. This low power, single-chip solution
offers up to 16 minutes of high audio quality record and playback
functionality for communication, consumer, automotive and
industrial messaging applications. The ISD5116 contains a
user-segmentable memory array capable of both audio and digital
data storage up to 4Mb.
-- Winbond VoiceDSP ISD-T360 -- The ISD-T360 digital speech processor
combines DSP and RISC processing functions on a single chip to
deliver easy-to-use advanced telephony features such as
high-quality full-duplex speakerphone and advanced Caller ID. The
ISD-T360 provides cost-effective solutions in digital telephony
add-on voice processing, cordless and corded telephony,
stand-alone digital answering machines, voice memo recording, and
automotive applications.
