Willis Music partners with Hal Leonard in publishing and distribution deal.


Hal Leonard Corporation Hal Leonard Corporation is a US sheet music publishing company. It is the largest sheet music publisher in the world.  has acquired exclusive long-term publishing and distribution rights for North and South America South America, fourth largest continent (1991 est. pop. 299,150,000), c.6,880,000 sq mi (17,819,000 sq km), the southern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  and other territories for the catalog catalog, descriptive list, on cards or in a book, of the contents of a library. Assurbanipal's library at Nineveh was cataloged on shelves of slate. The first known subject catalog was compiled by Callimachus at the Alexandrian Library in the 3d cent. B.C.  of Willis Music Company.

Willis retains ownership of all current and future Willis copyrights and will continue to manage key foreign publishing relationships.

Boasting more than 12,000 total titles, the Willis catalog also includes everything from band and orchestra music and guitar solos, to operettas and manuscript paper Manuscript paper (sometimes staff paper in U.S. English, or just music paper) is paper preprinted with staves ready for musical notation. Manuscript paper is also available for drum notation and guitar tablature. .

Hal Leonard, the world's largest music print publisher, also will be responsible for the sales, distribution and marketing of the Willis Music catalog. Hal Leonard also will expand the Willis catalog. Immediate plans for new Willis titles include the creation of ancillary teaching publications, such as songbooks that correspond to the various levels of their popular methods. New publications featuring internationally known Willis composers such as Eric Baumgartner, Glenda Austin, Cheryl Finn, Eamonn Morris and Naoko Ikeda are also in the works.
