) Williams-Sonoma, Inc. today announced the promotion of Jim Boike to the position of Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The officer of a firm responsible for day-to-day management, usually the president or an executive vice-president.
. In his new role, Jim will be responsible for the strategic direction, merchandising and operations for the Company's premium brands, which include Williams-Sonoma, Hold Everything and Chambers and will have responsibility for the retail stores organization for all retail concepts.

During his twelve years with Williams-Sonoma, Jim has held the positions of District Manager, Regional Manager, VP of Stores, Senior VP of Merchandising for both Hold Everything and Williams-Sonoma, EVP EVP Executive Vice President
