Haslam will join the Company on February 1, 1999 as President of E-Strategies for Saks Incorporated and as Special Consultant for Long-Range Planning for the Company. Haslam will report directly to James A. Coggin, President and Chief Administrative Officer A chief administrative officer (CAO) is responsible for administrative management of private, public or governmental corporations. The CAO is one of the highest ranking members of an organization, managing daily operations and usually reporting directly to the chief executive  of Saks Incorporated.

Haslam joined Pilot Corporation in 1980 and has served as President since 1994. Pilot is a national retail operator of convenience stores The following is a list of convenience stores organized by geographical location. Stores are grouped by the lowest heading that contains all locales in which the brands have significant presence.  and travel centers, currently operating 156 facilities in 36 states with annual sales in excess of $2 billion.
