William C. Hoover Joins NDIA Board of Trustees.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS CEO Brings over 25 Years of Notable Defense Industry Experience

CHANTILLY, Va. -- The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), America's leading advocate for growth, innovation, and technological advances in the defense industry and related support base, today announced the election of William C. Hoover to its Board of Trustees. Hoover will provide oversight and strategic guidance to help the Association continue to effectively advocate national security partnerships between government and industry.

Hoover currently serves as President and CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a government IT solutions provider and one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United States. Before taking the lead at AMERICAN SYSTEMS, Hoover also served as President and COO of Dynamics Research Corporation, where he led the development of the company's strategic growth.

Prior positions held by Hoover include President and CEO of FutureNext Consulting (FNC), senior vice president of Oracle Service Industries, executive vice president of BDM International, Inc. and President and COO of PRC, Inc.

Hoover is a veteran officer of the U.S. Navy, and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering. He is active in his industry and community and serves on several professional and industry-related boards, including ITAA/Enterprise Solutions, Board of Directors. In addition, Hoover has served on the Electronics Industry Association, Board of Governors; AFCEA International, Board of Directors and as co-Chairman of Leukemia Society of America, National Capital Region's Gala Fundraiser; was a member of the George Washington University/Loudoun Campus Board of Advisors from 1996 to 2000, and currently sits on the Marymount University Business School, Board of Visitors.
