Jon Guldager, who led Elmira to the playoffs seven times in 15 seasons, has been named baseball coach at Willamette. Guldager takes over a program that reached the playoffs last spring for the first time since 1998.

PREPS

Willamette went 8-7 to finish tied for third place in the Midwestern League during the spring. The Wolverines are expected to lose only two starters and return three all-league players.

Guldager, 38, graduated from Elmira in 1987 and was hired as head coach in 1993. He won 254 games and had only one losing season in 15 years.

Elmira won the Sky-Em League title in 1995 and advanced to the state quarterfinals. Elmira reached the second round of the playoffs in 2000 after beating Siuslaw in the first round.

The Falcons finished fourth in the league at 6-6 last spring and lost to McLoughlin in the first round of the state playoffs.

Willamette also has hired Brian Wodke as its new volleyball volleyball, outdoor or indoor ball and net game played on a level court. An upright net, 3 ft (or 1 m) high, the top of which stands 8 ft (2.43 m) from the ground for men, 7 ft 4 1/8 in (2.  coach.
