"I want to be challenging for the championship throughout the year and have a good shot at winning it."
Power can take step one in that direction with a win Sunday.
Since he won here last year - albeit in a Champ Car - it would seem his chances are good. When asked what the key to victory is on the streets of Long Beach, Power started to divulge some pertinent information, but then backed off some.
"It does have a lot to do with qualifying because it is tough to pass," said Power, of Toowoomba, Queensland Toowoomba (also known as the 'The Garden City') is a city in South East Queensland, Australia. It is located 132 km (82 mi) , Australia.
"And from what I've seen, you gotta got·ta

"Obviously, yellows play into it; that always makes things tough. It's just the same old story, a mistake-free race, good stops and you get things to fall your way."
