WildPackets Inc., innovators in advanced network services fault analysis, announced a strategic partnership with Cognio, Inc., an emerging innovator of RF spectrum management technology. The first product resulting from this partnership is the Omni3 wireless sensor see mote.  that provides both Packet Stream and RF Spectrum analytics in one solution. The Omni3 wireless sensor is an extension of the WildPackets distributed network services fault analysis platform for troubleshooting all network topologies with one system.

The Omni3 wireless sensor performs real-time, multi-layer, packet stream analytics on 802.11 wireless networks, and alerts network managers to issues ranging from simple client misconfigurations to advanced application analysis. The RF spectrum capabilities of the sensor can measure, classify and identify the root cause of RF impairments and provides multiple strategies to improve link and network performance. The sensor performs all analytics, and generates alarms, without the need for dedicated servers and provides a quick return on investment to enterprise customers.

"The Omni3 wireless sensor launch continues our leadership in the distributed wireless LAN A local area network that transmits over the air typically in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz unlicensed frequency band. It does not require line of sight between sender and receiver. Wireless base stations (access points) are wired to an Ethernet network and transmit a radio frequency over an area  analysis market," said Mahboud Zabetian, WildPackets' CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. . "With our focus on providing value to customers, we designed a solution that analyzes wireless issues ranging from pre-deployment site surveys to post-deployment troubleshooting with one solution. The partnership with Cognio has been critical to the launch of this product."

"Real-time RF data on what's in the air is invaluable for managing dynamic security and performance issues on a WLAN See wireless LAN.

, so the integration of packet stream and RF spectrum analysis in the Omni3 wireless sensor is a significant advance," stated Cognio CEO Kurt Hoff. "The partnership with WildPackets provides a competitive advantage because it merges complementary technologies to significantly advance the state-of-the-art in wireless network management."

About Omni3

Omni3 extends real-time troubleshooting across the entire network. From one OmniPeek Console, a network engineer can perform local analysis as well as connect to Peek DNX DNX Departmental Network eXchange
DNX Dynamic Network X-connect

Expert Analysis engines anywhere in the world. Omni3 architecture ensures that the analysis is done by distributed applications located throughout the network. Only the analysis results are transferred over the network to the OmniPeek Console compressed, encrypted, and optimized for network utilization. The engine currently supports 10/100 Ethernet, full-duplex Gigabit, and will soon support 802.11.
