 is an expansive wildlife sanctuary located on 1,800 acres. More than half of the park is set aside as a protected native species habitat. Many of the earth's rarest creatures roam in herds and flocks in vast, almost-invisibly enclosed habitats resembling their native homelands. The park is home to more than 3,500 animals representing 429 species, including the largest crash of rhinos in any zoological facility, and one of the only California condor exhibits in the world.

Features include Animal Encounters, which allows guests an opportunity to have face-to-face contact with an African cheetah cheetah (chē`tə), carnivore of the cat family, Acinonyx jubatus, native to Africa S of the Sahara and SW Asia as far east as India. , an African crowned crane, a serval serval, medium-sized African cat, Felis serval, found S of the Sahara in scrub country close to water. The serval is lightly built with very long legs; it has a small head with large eyes and ears, set on a long neck. Its coat is yellow-orange with black spots. , caracal caracal (kăr`əkəl) or Persian lynx, mammal of the family Felidae (cat family), native to Asia and Africa. It is reddish brown with black-tufted ears. Its total length is about 3 1-4 ft (105 cm). , and other rare and exotic animals. Other attractions include Heart of Africa Heart of Africa is an adventure game for the Commodore 64 and unofficial sequel to The Seven Cities of Gold. Created by Ozark Softscape and published by Electronic Arts in 1985, it casts the player as an adventurer searching for the Lost Tomb of Pharaoh Ahnk Ahnk in Africa , a walking safari; the Wgasa Bush Line, a 5-mile, 60-minute tour offering views of animals in open plains; Nairobi Village; Animal Shows; and Behind-the-Scenes Tours. Summer hours start June 4: 9AM to 8PM.

Special evening presentations daily during the month of August, including live music. Entrance gates open at 9AM until 8PM, and guests may stay in the park until 10PM.
