Wii lure to YFC club.

A YOUNG farmers club in danger of folding is throwing out its wellies in a desperate bid to attract new members.

Bowling, Laser Quest and even Nintendo Wii nights are all on the agenda at Wrexham YFC as it battles to stay afloat.

Organisers decided to act after its monthly meetings attracted fewer than 10 members.

The 63-year-old club is now moving from its old meeting place in Eyton to a new home at Gresford Memorial Hall.

And next Wednesday the club is staging a new members' night to introduce youngsters to the activities planned in the run-up to Christmas.

Clwyd YFC area leader Laura Edwards admitted it was time to attract some new blood.

"Wrexham YFC has more than 20 members on the books but less than half of these regularly turn up to meetings," she said."

Wrexham YFC accepts members aged 14 to 26, who are welcome to suggest future activities.

All are welcome to attend Wrexham YFC's new members' evening at Gresford Memorial Hall on October 28, 7.30pm. Laura Edwards, 01978 790403 or 07760166223.
