Certification of Wave 1 mobile WiMAX products is scheduled to begin in mid 2007, with market availability of WiMAX Forum Certified mobile products beginning in late 2007. In Wave 1 of mobile WiMAX certification, the initial systems that will achieve WiMAX Forum Certification will be based on the 2.3GHz profile.
