Why not wi-fi in parks?


The California Department of Parks and Recreation The California Department of Parks and Recreation manages the California state parks system, which contains 280 parks and 1.4 million acres (5,700 km²), with over 280 miles of coastline; 625 miles of lake and river frontage; nearly 15,000 campsites; and 3,000 miles of hiking,  will implement wire-free connections in 85 of its parks within the next six months. The Wireless Fidelity See Wi-Fi.  (Wi-Fi) technology will be housed in public buildings such as a guardhouse or equipment shed. A small, narrow antenna will protrude pro·trude

If successful, an additional 233 parks will be wired. California is not the first state park system to install wi-fi. According to SBC Communications, Michigan and Texas also have outdoor locations for wi-fi connection.
