Why Water Is a Better Choice than Coffee

For most workers, of any trade, it can be agreed that the majority rely on coffee and caffeine to function throughout the day, or even to be able to act normal. You can always tell the ones who haven?t had their morning coffee, irritable and general zombie like. However it is through their own choices that they need coffee to recover from this. They seem to think that this is how normal human beings are and feel in the morning, and it?s only the drink that makes them feel ?normal?. It is in fact the coffee, or the body?s addiction to coffee, their bodies not unlike alcoholics become dependent on coffee, and find it hard to function without it. Who really wants to be dependent and dictated by a beverage!

So instead of reaching for that cup of coffee in the morning or throughout the day think about what other ways you can stop that tired sluggish feeling. The only thing that stops this is water, if I feel headachy and fatigued during the day I have now learnt to drink glasses of water until I feel lively and full of energy. Water is the best way to hydrate your body, and its amazing how quickly you can feel re-energized. After drinking a whole load of water I often feel better within about 20 minutes, and this lasts all day, much better then the short boost you get with coffee, which has to be supplemented throughout the day to regain the feeling. Drinking water is the only way that you?re actually going to get rid of the horrible tired feeling for the rest of the day, you feel this way because your body is dehydrated, it?s crying out for water! So basically coffee is a temporary fix, drinking water cures the problem.

It has been proven that coffee actually stresses the body out. It intensifies stress and irritability, so really drinking it in a demanding, busy work environment isn?t the best plan; it makes things seem much worse than they really are. By supplementing your work day with a couple of glasses of water you may find that you are able to cope with your work load better and improve relations between you and your colleagues, as you will all not have this extra strain on the work environment.

I think the best thing for managers and so forth to do is to invest a little more money in installing water coolers or mains fed coolers in their offices. If the facilities are there then people are more likely to use them instead of having to think of bringing their own supply in from home. Not only will it keep your work force hydrated but it will probably affect their general working mood, and if your lucky productivity! I know that after our company installed a water cooler into our office people were more inclined to drink water. You notice the popularity especially in the summer months. You also notice the popularity of the water cooler with the office gossips!

Water-cooler.com are watercooler suppliers to offices across London and Hertfordshire, and have done for the past 15 years.
