LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 27, 1999

Farmers Insurance Group's float in the 111th Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade The Tournament of Roses Parade was established, and first held, on January 1,1890, in Pasadena, California, eight miles (13 km) northeast of Downtown Los Angeles.

Rooted in tradition, this parade is broadcast on multiple television networks, watched by upwards of one
 may be its wildest and most dramatic entry yet.

The float, "Landing Party," transports Rose Parade watchers into a startling star·tle

Farmers Insurance can't disclose the surprise, but can tell you that the float is made of yellow strawberries, eggplant, green and red ti leaves, galaxy, mace, corn husk, farina, spices, lima beans, sweet rice, lunaria, onion seed, beans, chrysanthemums, carnations, gerbera daisies and a variety of seeds.
