story that jumps from scene to scene in much the same way as Pulp Fiction. Although some of the killings are a bit far-fetched, the characters are intriguing and the descriptions and details are brilliant.

The publishers of this whodunit have come up with a novel way to promote the book: a contest. Solve the crime and you could win $10,000! Details are available in the book and on www.harpercollins.com. (Sorry, but residents of MD, NJ, ND, TN and VT are not eligible.)

But while the mystery of Who Killed Tiffany Jones? has the potential to be on the cutting edge of a new genre--for $22.95, I want my fix now. Readers who aren't mystery sleuths and are willing to wait until next April (2003) to solve the crime--which is when you can write in for the answer--will find Tiffany Jones is a refreshing change of pace.
