Kaministiquia (Gaa-ministigweyaa) is an Ojibwe word meaning "(river) with islands" due to two large islands (McKellar and Mission) at the mouth of the Valley, is one of the newest Thomas McBroom courses, and predicted to become one of Canada's great destination golf courses.
