White Plains pulls out all the stops to bring radio service to town.

In a transaction which underscores the strength of the White Plains commercial real estate marketplace, Radio Computing Services Wikipedia is not the place for advertisement or self-advertising.

Radio Computing Services also known as RCS Inc., is a provider of scheduling and broadcast software for radio, Internet and television stations.

), a subsidiary of Clear Channel Radio, the nation's largest owner of radio stations, has committed to 30,000 s/f at White Plains Plaza, aka 445 Hamilton Avenue.

The deal represented an opportunity for RCS to consolidate its operations onto a much larger floor plate, a move that will allow for far better interaction within its business groups than it had experienced at its former location. RCS is relocating from 12 Water Street, also in White Plains, where the company had occupied four floors.

Bruce Rothman, corporate managing director, and Matthew Barlow, executive vice president of national real estate services firm Studley, represented RCS in the 15-year lease that encompasses the entire seventh and part of the second floors of the two-building, 700,000 s/f complex, the second largest commercial office building in the city.

Said Rothman, "Westchester County also very much wanted to retain RCS, as evidenced by the aggressive incentive package that we secured on our client's behalf. We had tremendous cooperation, in particular from Salvatore Carrera, the director of the White Plains Office of Economic Development, and Louis Kirven of the Empire State Development Corporation, who worked diligently dil·i·gent

The suburb's downtown is rapidly being redeveloped, attracting an abundance of Fortune 500 companies and will soon be home to the first luxury condo hotel operated by Ritz Carlton, at the mixed-use project Renaissance Square under construction. Boston-based Beacon Properties also acquired White Plains' tallest and largest commercial office building, 44 South Broadway, last May just prior to its much-publicized acquisition of 1211 Sixth in New York City New York City: see New York, city.
