White Mountain Labs Attains National Lab Suitability Certification. The Center for ESD (1) (Electronic Software Distribution) Distributing new software and upgrades via the network rather than individual installations on each machine. See ESL. Recognized by the U.S. Defense Supply Center, Columbus The Defense Supply Center, Columbus, also called DSCC, is one of three Inventory Control Points of the Defense Logistics Agency. The base has been affected several times by the United States Base Realignment and Closure program. PHOENIX -- White Mountain Labs, the innovative leader in test and characterization of advanced technologies, announced today that its new lab facility, The Center for ESD, has been certified as a suitable lab by the U.S. Defense Supply Center, Columbus (DSCC DSCC Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee DSCC Defense Supply Center Columbus (US DoD) DSCC Dyersburg State Community College (Dyersburg, TN) ). As the supply arm of the U.S. Department of Defense, the DSCC is focused on establishing and maintaining a well-known supplier base of companies that successfully demonstrate their products meet the specified performance, quality and reliability levels of the Department of Defense product qualification program. DSCC certification confirms that all military and non-government specifications and standards required for testing are current and controlled. "Achieving DSCC lab suitability is another significant milestone that White Mountain Labs has accomplished," said Dr. Brenda McCaffrey, president of White Mountain Labs. "Attaining certification provides additional security to our current and potential customers, allowing for continual growth within the military and aerospace markets, as well as the opportunity to position the Company as a global leader in ESD testing." To receive DSCC certification, White Mountain Lab's facility was audited on a variety of factors, including traceability procedures, handling and storage processes, environmental control methods and training procedures. The audit also requires that the laboratory's internal documents are current and changes to any documents are made in a controlled manner. When the military testing method is specified, White Mountain Labs must perform testing in accordance with the procedures demonstrated during the initial DSCC audit. White Mountain Labs will be placed on the 2007 List of Commercial Laboratories Suitable for Testing Military Devices, which is published by the DSCC. About White Mountain Labs White Mountain Labs was founded in December 1999 by Brenda McCaffrey, Ph.D., based on the conviction that a systematic approach to highly technical, "niche" semiconductor testing could produce clear data enabling engineers to be successful in developing innovative products. White Mountain Labs is a prototype lab system for test and characterization of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Latch-up in Integrated Circuits. More than 5,000 projects have been successfully completed for more than 100 semiconductor companies in the past 7 years, including numerous customers in the UK, Europe and Israel. White Mountain Labs is an ISO (1) See ISO speed.
