At the Academy, Andy Purdy, Deputy of the Vice Chair & Sr Advisor for IT Security & Privacy, President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board, the White House, will describe the process by which the white House is seeking to finalize the administration's National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace. The strategy, unveiled at Stanford University, is not finalized. Over the weekend, the White House panel assembling the report decided to open it up for more comment before presenting it to President Bush in two months.

Andy Purdy is serving as Deputy to the Vice Chair, and Senior Advisor for IT Security and Privacy, to the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board (PCIPB). At the PCIPB Mr. Purdy is working in the areas of cyber crime, privacy protection, government procurement and maintenance of more secure products and systems, and in promoting information sharing in the industry sectors dealing with health care, manufacturing, and air transportation.

At the Academy, over 50 privacy and data security experts will analyze and discuss the growing profession of the privacy officer, privacy and data security program development, applicability of law, regulation and data security to today's corporate enterprise through a variety of plenary and concurrent sessions.
