Moulinex-Brandt filed for bankruptcy proceedings bankruptcy proceedings n. the bankruptcy procedure is: a) filing a petition (voluntary or involuntary) to declare a debtor person or business bankrupt, or, under Chapter 11 or 13, to allow reorganization or refinancing under a plan to meet the debts of the party on Sept. 7. Groupe SEB, a leading manufacturer of small domestic appliances, acquired part of the Moulinex assets last month. The Commercial Court of Nanterre had set a Nov. 9 deadline for the first bids from any interested party for all or parts of the Brandt major domestic appliance business.
