Wherify Wireless Expands Product Offering to Include New Location-Enabled Battery Pack; With Wherify's 'SMART-PAK' Location-enabled Battery Pack, Consumers, Fleet Managers, Public Safety Officials and Others Can Use Their Mobile Phones To Wirelessly Transmit Location Information That Can Be Viewed Anywhere In the World Via the Internet.



ORLANDO, Fla. -- Wherify Wireless, Inc., developers of end-to-end nationwide wireless location-based products and services, announced today the launch of their new "SMART-PAK" battery pack that enables consumers, fleet managers, public safety officials, and others to turn their mobile phones into wireless personal location devices. With the Wherify SMART-PAK installed on either Nokia 5100 or 6100 series mobile phones, the user's location information can be transmitted over wireless networks to a Web interface that reveals their location within feet on a street and aerial map in about a minute. Once the location information is transmitted, users can then easily identify the location of their mobile assets, loved-ones, sales force or public safety personnel. And in the event of an emergency, help can be dispatched to the users location using accurate location information given to the emergency dispatchers.
