Where do you get your news? Four news junkies share their sources.

Publicly financed broadcasting system in Britain. A private company at its founding in 1922, it was replaced by a public corporation under royal charter in 1927.
 News. Not that it is the greatest, but it offers a more international perspective, and I was impressed with its coverage of Katrina, which veered almost 180 degrees from what CNN CNN

Newspapers. Online or in print? I don't usually read online papers. Typically, I will read The New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 Times, knowing full well the political forces it represents. But I supplement it with articles sent to me via certain listserves--Portside, for example. Or I like to read and hear Glen Ford from The Black Commentator.

Your favorite blog? I don't go to blogs.

It's Monday morning. What media do you go to first? KPFK Pacifica Radio, and switch back and forth between that and NPR NPR

Who do you text message with the most? My daughter is the only person I text message. She's my pop culture consultant.

It's Friday night. How do you escape media? Besides playing the piano, I tend to plunge right into "media" by watching reruns of The Practice or Law and Order.

Newspapers. Online or in print? I read everything online: nytimes.com, sfgate.com. Well, actually I read the San Francisco Bay Guardian The San Francisco Bay Guardian (also known as the SF Bay Guardian, Bay Guardian, and the Guardian) is a free alternative newspaper published weekly in San Francisco, California. The paper is owned mostly by its publisher, Bruce B.  in print.

Your favorite blog? Several: littleyellowdifferent.com, minjung.com, sfist.com, kevnull.com, agendicide.com, eddiezheng.com.

It's Monday morning. What media do you go to first? sfusualsuspects.com. It has all the major San Francisco political headlines of the day from the SF Chronicle, Examiner, Bay Guardian and more. Amazing. A politico's dream of a news source.

NPR or YouTube?

YouTube. Your favorite blog? I have many. But there are two that I find cutting-edge. One is written by Keith Boykin (keithboykin.com) and the other one by Andres Duque (blabbeando.blogspot.com). They both focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender transgender or transgendered

It's Monday morning. What media do you go to first? I listen to NPR on my way to work for the politics. However, I also listen to Spanish-language rock stations and enjoy the celebrity gossip.

NPR or YouTube? You can't choose. I work in media, and I need to be able to consume information from as many news sources as possible. The Internet has allowed people--regardless of what part of the world they live in--to access videos on YouTube, the same way listeners have access to current news on NPR.

Who do you text message with the most? I am the text message queen. I text message my team members at GLAAD and my partner Jenifer every day.

You're on a desert island. You can only take one news source with you. What is it? Google News. So I'd better have a solar generator for my laptop, and the laptop better make it on the island.

Newspapers. Online or in print? The Washington Post and New York Times online. When I travel, mainly, I read The Wall Street Journal and the International Herald Tribune International Herald Tribune

Daily newspaper published in Paris. It has long been the staple source of English-language news for American expatriates, tourists, and businesspeople in Europe.

It's Monday morning. What media do you go to first? For the past 10 months I've been waking up at 4 a.m. to host "News and Notes." So at 4 a.m. I look at the political digest The Washington Post has generously dumped in my e-mail inbox.

NPR or YouTube? NPR! First off, I work here, and second, I live in L.A. so I'm in the car all the time. Watching videos while driving is distracting!

Who do you text message with the most? I don't text very often, but when I was recently in Zimbabwe visiting family I texted all the time because it was so much more reliable than putting through phone calls.
