Tennessee vegetarians are furious that Gov. Don Sundquist Donald Kenneth Sundquist (born March 15, 1936) is an American politician from Tennessee. A Republican, he served as the 47th Governor of Tennessee from 1995 to 2003. Prior to that, he represented Tennessee's 7th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives  refuses to proclaim a "Vegetarian Month." Yet meatlessness has long been a politically charged issue for Volunteer State governors. In, 1986, Gov. Lamar Alexander Andrew Lamar Alexander (born July 3, 1940) is the senior United States Senator from Tennessee and a member of the Republican Party.
