When elevators attack I.


Have you ever wondered about those inspection certificates in elevators? I have, especially after a new story about some poor soul falling down an elevator elevator, in machinery

, has discovered that more than half of the district's elevators lack valid licenses. The city has only two elevator inspectors, one of whom told a reporter that elevators with "life and limb hazards" are put back in service when owners sign a letter of intent to repair the problem.
